This season you can honor your friends and family by supporting the children of HFC in their name.  Chose from any of the gifts below and contact meg@hfchaiti.org to donate.

$35/month – Start a friendship, refresh hope.  Start a sponsorship for a friend or family member and they will have the chance to get to know one of our HFC children.  Your support will provide food, clothing, education, and emotional support.

$60 – Prepare them for success. Every year the students need new school supplies and uniforms to prepare them to make the most out of their education. Your support will provide supplies and uniforms for one of the children for a year.  A gift of $30 would provide the essential school supplies needed for the students to create a better future for themselves through education.

$45 – Help heal wounds. All children need doctor’s visits.  Accidents happen, colds are caught, and physical needs change.  Your support will cover the cost of these hospital visits – whether they be for a broken arm or new eye-glasses.

$30 – Stock the shelves. Growing children have growing appetites, and your support will help keep the storage room full of rice, beans, peanut butter, tuna fish, and other important sources of nutrition for a week.

$25 – Visit the produce stand. The land in Haiti continues to provide fewer and fewer crops each year.  Your support will ensure that the children receive the healthy fruits and vegetables that they need, regardless of the rising costs of produce.

$15 – Quench thirst. In a city where women and children walk miles a day for water, your gift will provide all the water that our children need for a month.

$20 – Fill the library stacks. The library that was built last summer has plenty of room for more books – and the students have the motivation to dive into extracurricular books both in French and English.  Your support will help supplement the library so that the children can expand their love of reading beyond the classroom walls.

$17 – Enable exercise. Athletics and dance have been an important outlet for the children as they get exercise, team-building, and even coaching opportunities with younger children.  With fast growing feet, there is always a need for additional sneakers.  Your gift will provide the shoes to keep one of the kids running all year.

$25 – Worship inside and out. As the children continue to learn about and worship God at church, they show respect for God and their community by dressing well. Your support will provide an appropriate outfit for one of the children to wear throughout the year.*Urgent need*

$25 – Celebrate life. This gift will provide a birthday celebration and small gift for one of the children.

$50-150 – Fund tuition. Your gift will supplement tuition for a semester of courses for one the older children attending the local seminary in preparation for university.

$50-150 –  Keep the tap-tap running. Transportation of food and materials is a daily need, and your gift will     provide for the rising cost of gas and expenses that keep the “tap-tap” (truck) in service.

$50-150 – Invest in transition. As the older children become closer to stepping out on their own as adults, your gift will support the initial costs for the transition house or university or trade school expenses.
