Thousands of children in Haiti live in a world where sickness, hunger, lack of education and many social problems fill them with a very real fear and hopelessness.  At Hope for the Children of Haiti (HFC) we seek to provide hope for as many of those children as we can.  Unlike other child sponsor programs, HFC is solely responsible for the care of 60 orphaned children in Port Au Prince, Haiti.  Through the generosity   of sponsors, HFC Children  receives a home, an education, healthcare, love, support and nurturing encouragement from Christian adults.  Most importantly, the children have the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ and His love for them.

Your Sponsorship Will Provide Your Child With:

Physical Needs. The children eat three (3) meals a day, are clothed and have a safe, healthy place to sleep. Many Haitians eat one meal every few days!

Educational Growth. The children receive an accredited education that will allow them to attend college one day. They are encouraged to develop their natural gifts and vocational skills.

Social Support. The children live in a “home” environment where the other children become like brothers and sisters.  We pray the friendships they develop at the orphanage will be life-long ones.

Medical Care. The children receive regular medical, eye and dental care thanks to the many volunteer physicians and nurses that assist HFC from the US. There is now a full-time nurse on staff.

Spiritual Growth. The children receive the affirming love and encouragement, Christian  care, Bible study and an environment needed to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Celebrations. The children celebrate life through worship and play. HFC celebrates their birthdays, Christmas and other Haitian holidays.

A Welcome Pack. Upon enrollment, you  will receive a photo, academic report, and personal profile on your HFC child. It also includes    general information about the conditions in Haiti.

Annual Updates. You receive a photo, academic report and updated personal profile each Fall. Find out what our children eat in a typical week: Let's eat

Child Sponsorship Newsletters. This child-focused newsletter is mailed twice a year and gives you a glimpse into the children’s lives – how they celebrate Christmas, a special trip to the beach, a before and after story about their lives.

HFC Newsletters. These provide more detailed information about HFC’s ministry in Haiti and are sent twice a year.

HFC Fundraisers. The spring fundraiser is a chance for you to meet HFC staff, hear an in-person update on the ministry and celebrate what God is doing through your support.

Annual Gift Summaries for tax reporting.

We hope that you will commit with us to helping these children throughout their schooling career.  However, we recognize that circumstances change and you may find yourself unable to continue your support. Please let    us know as soon as possible if you need to discontinue your sponsorship for any reason.
