Hope for the Children of Haiti has recently instituted an intern program whereby young Christian men and women will have the opportunity to spend six months to a year working with our children, providing spiritual, emotional, and academic support. The intern’s responsibilities include the following items:

• Hold frequent Bible studies to teach the children how to read, interpret, and act on what the Bible says, helping them to mature in their faith.
• Develop and implement programs to help the children develop the skills necessary to transition to independence.
• Provide supervision and academic support, including teaching English classes and computer training.
• Meet regularly with the Assistant Director of the orphanage regarding the intern’s work and the progress of the children.
• Provide frequent updates to the HFC community and facilitate communication and direct input from the children.

No less than six interns have served HFC in Haiti since the
implementation of this program and we wish to thank all of
them for their untiring efforts on behalf of the organization.
